Entered into Rest

On Wednesday, the 10th inst, there passed to her rest Mrs. Annie Catherine Laing, who all her life up to a few years ago was a well known, highly respected, and much beloved resident of Kemptville.

Mrs. Laing was the daughter of the late Joseph Bower and relict of Harry Laing, who predeceased her about 18 months. A loyal and devoted member of St. James' Memorial Church, she will long be remembered for her untiring services in choir and Sunday School and indeed in every branch of Church work. After two years' illness spent patiently in a private hospital in Toronto, Mrs. Laing passed peacefully away. Her remains were brought back to her old home town by her son, Dr. Harold Laing, of New York, and after the burial service in St. James' Church, were laid to rest in the family plot.

The surviving members of this old Kemptville family are: Mrs. Carrie McGregor, of Toronto; Mr. Charlie Bower, of Brandon, Man.; and Mr. Gideon Bower, of Vancouver. R.I.P.
