Garland Walker Duvall 69 of 21 York Street died Thursday June 22 2000 at his residence after an illness. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday June 25 2000 at Christ Episcopal Church Burial will follow in the church cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Mr. Duvall was born in Greenville a son of the late Gideon Walker and Mary Belle Welsh Duvall Mr Duvall was raised in Cheraw SC and later was a 1955 graduate of Clemson College He was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church former Senior Warden and Organized Construction of the Kyle Parish House. He retired from Fiber Industries. Mr. Duvall married his wife Ann Gay Blakeney on June 23 1955. Surviving are his wife of the home, 2 daughters Elizabeth Gay Vice of Grand Prairie TX and Mary Stephanie (Wayne A Jr) Jefferson of Simpsonville SC, 1 son Garland Walker (Cathy) Duvall Jr of Cumming GA, grandchildren Tanya and Jeremy Vice of Coral Springs, FL.
