Slater-Melvin

In the parsonage of Wesley Methodist church, with only the immediate family present, Miss Jean Leona Melvin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hart Melvin of Winchester, became the bride of Mr. Hugh Keith Slater of Winchester, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce S. Slater of Inkerman, at three o'clock on Saturday afternoon. Rev. S. W. Blanchard performed the marriage ceremony. The bride wore a street-length frock of turquoise blue wool, black accessories, and a corsage of Briarcliffe roses. Later. Mr. and Mrs. Slater left by motor for Quebec city, and on their return will take up residence in Winchester.
